we were on our way to Roxas boulevard at 4 in the morning. didn’t have enough sleep. i didn’t sleep at all actually. i just closed my eyes. HAHA. puyat!
at around 5:30 we started running. there’s a lot of people. hot ones too. HAHA. knowing that.. i started running like a supermodel being chased by the paparazzi and walking (still like a model)when i get tired. HAHA!
we finished the 5-kilometer run in just an hour and a half. we would’ve finished it faster if the thousands of people in front of us didn’t just walk. anyway after that there were a lot of people at the MOA! nowhere to eat… we decided to go to Glorieta and eat there instead. we just started walking around and flaunt our legs. HAHA!
I was on my way home from school at around 8 in the evening. I was riding a jeepney to Cubao when all of a sudden 3 boys jumped in. The two was just at the back of the jeep while the other one went in and started giving envelopes, asking for money. I know It seems like my topic is about syndicates and juvenile workers but it’s actually more on population. Every time I see kids asking for money I assume they have many siblings. They can’t go to school. They don’t have a home. I know. God said in the Bible “go and multiply” but I’m pretty sure He didn’t mean it literally. Overpopulation is the root of all the problems in different countries especially in third world/developing countries and of course it is a problem here in the Philippines. It’s like saying overpopulation is equal to starvation, epidemic, informal settlers, crime and poverty.
So what do we do about this problem? Right now the Reproductive Health bill is still on hold and yes, I believe the RH bill is the solution. Corruption, CBCP and other issues aside. Most ignorant and narrow minded people would say it’s immoral. It’s like teaching the kids at a very early age how to have sex. First of all can we not listen to what the Catholic church have to say for once? Just be open minded about everything. Besides nothing is really impossible nowadays. And one more thing. Let’s face it. Teens actually kids nowadays are disturbingly sexually active. The main objective of the RH bill is to educate. Educate people (not just kids but adults too)about their own body, about their difference from the other sex and the pros and cons of sex, family planning, birth spacing, contraceptives, etc. Not how to have sex. This is not a sex therapy people! Tell me. Would you rather let your kids know all that information from their friends or would you leave it to the experts like doctors and teachers? I’m lucky I was educated in school about sex. they didn’t teach us there how to “douggie” but they taught us and let us understand what’s happening in our body, the changes that we’re going through and will be going through. Actually they were trying to convince us not to have sex. Talking about std’s and AIDS. Scary!!! Kidding aside. I’m lucky I’m not ignorant to the things that’s happening around me. I am aware. And when the “right time” comes, I’ll know what to do and how to do it in the safest way possible. For me the number one answer to this problem is let the people know. Let the people know they have a choice. Educate them. So let’s all go for RH bill!!!
